About a year, WhatsApp’s
dark mode feature is into big discussions on social media. In all times, this
feature is one
of the most demanded and foretell features for WhatsApp. In fact, some unofficial UI leaks are also there
for dark mode 'battery saving mode’ but till now there is no official revelation
for the launch of one of dark mode feature of WhatsApp. As we know, utmost all vital social applications
like Facebook messenger, Google Chrome and Gmail, etc. has started offering dark
mode feature currently, and we can’t hold back for WhatsApp to switch
to this feature as WhatsApp is most used social media app in present time.
It
seems like there is still time to wait for official announcement and release of
dark mode feature for WhatsApp. Nevertheless, there is a workaround that people
might switch their phones (Android, iOS) to the dark mode of WhatsApp messenger app
effortlessly. Just the requirement is if you are an Android user, your device
needs to use Android Q beta and iOS 11 is need to be running on iOS devices.
How to turn dark mode on WhatsApp for Android phones?
Below mentioned are the steps for the same
- Go to settings->Display->theme and select Dark option.
- The next step is to apply the "Dark" theme to all apps
- Now, go to settings option->about phone-> press seven times on build number. This will enable the developer’s option on your phone.
- Again, move back to the Settings page and click to the "Developer options." Then, switch on the "Override force-dark". This will apply the dark theme to all the apps. This will enable dark mode throughout its interface but for chat page, go to Settings- Chats- Wallpaper and then select any solid dark color.
How to turn dark mode on WhatsApp for iPhone
IOS 11 had introduced a feature named as "Smart
Invert". This feature reverses the theme colors of the iPhone's display.
In this way, one can use dark mode on WhatsApp in iPhones.
